Jack Ernest Warren, age 83, of Greensboro, Ala. and formerly of Highland St. in Forest Park, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at his granddaughter's home in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Greensboro Baptist Church. His wife, Aileen Hankins Warren, and grandson, Tray Gross, preceded him in death.
A celebration of his life will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 11 at the Greensboro Baptist Church in Greensboro, Ala. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving daddy and granddad and a precious "Gran Jack."
Survivors include his daughter, Sara Jo (Tommy) Gross of Greensboro, Ala.; sons, Jack R. (Adelia) Warren of Jonesboro, Fred E. (Ann) Warren of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Wade Warren of Atlanta, Justin Warren of Tampa, Fla., Charmian Crawford of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Ashley Warren of Atlanta and Kristi Gross of Hoover, Ala.; great-grandsons, Chandler Gross and Bailey Crawford; great-granddaughter, Brantley Crawford.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations are made to your favorite charity or the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
