Mrs. Viola McDonald McDermontt, age 98, of McDonough, passed away Friday, Jan. 9, 2004, at Cornerstone Health and Rehabilitation.
Mrs. McDermontt was born March 10, 1905, in St. Lawrence County, N.Y. to the late William McDonald and the late Grace Andrus McDonald. She was preceded in death by her husband, William McDermontt. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. today, Saturday, Jan. 10 in the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Dr. William Brannon and the Rev. Dale Davis officiating. Survivors include a daughter, Doris M. Cook of Carthage, N.Y.; sister, Helen Yale of New York; grandchildren, Barbara Jones, Alvin P. Edge, Judy A. Passmore, John H. Edge, Sharon Nichols, Janice Heaton, Tommy, David and Larry Edge, Shirley Knight, Nancy Cook, Richard Cook, Sandra Johnson, David, Penny and Steven Cook, Martha Schouel and Bruce Bray; three generations of great-grandchildren.
