An elementary school teacher was arrested and charged with simple battery after grabbing a 6-year-old student. Rose Crawford Hagy, 49, of Peachtree City was arrested after grabbing a 6-year-old girl at Pointe South Elementary School, Clayton County Police Department Capt. Jeff Turner said. Turner said Hagy restrained the girl, who was being "unruly," by grabbing her right arm and neck. She grabbed the student to "get her attention," Turner said. School officials called police shortly after when the girl complained about the incident. The incident occurred last month minutes before the end of a school day. It was not known if Hagy remained on staff at Pointe South Elementary School following the incident.More like this story
