Winnie B. Shaw, 92, of Tampa, Fla. and formerly of McDonough, Ga. passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2004.

A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother, aunt and friend, she was preceded in death by her husband, Blumer, and sons, T.J. and Ronnie. She retired from Georgia Baptist Hospital. Her life was her family and favorite pastimes, which included cards, puzzles, and baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves.

Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 11 at New Hope United Methodist Church, 1960 New Hope Road, Locust Grove. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include her son, Bud and Noreen Shaw; daughters, Joanne and Jack Close, Barbara Shaw and Cindy Shaw; grandchildren, Joseph and Martha Shaw, Janice and Bill Gordon, Jennifer Dumas, Jeff, Kendal, Charlene and Donald Shaw, and Sherryl and Ray Bustillos; great-grandchildren, Dana Whitfield, Amanda and Jason Lowe, Courtney Gordon, Jessica and Heather Dumas, and Kenli and Tyler Shaw; great great-grandchildren, Morgan Whitfield and Cierra Lowe; nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, July 10 at Haisten Funeral Home, 1745 S. Cedar St., McDonough, Ga.
