Terrell "Hump" Humphrey Mr. Terrell "Hump" Humphrey of College Park died Tuesday, July 13, 2004, at Emory University Hospital. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam era. A chapel service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15, with Brother James A. Coogler and Brother David Dawson officiating. Interment will follow at Emory's Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomaston, Ga. at 2 p.m. Survivors include his wife, Joyce H. Humphrey; mother, Rita Humphrey of Thomaston; sister, Shirley Burnette of Thompson, Ga.; two nieces; one great niece; one nephew. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. today. Tara Garden Chapel, Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements. (770) 471-7171. Dorothy Mauldin Dorothy Mauldin, 85, of Surfside, S.C., formerly of Forest Park, passed away Monday, July 12, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Austin Clark Mauldin, and sons, Joseph Austin Mauldin, Marvin Farris Mauldin and John Talmage Mauldin. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 15 at The Morrow Cemetery. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Joann and Dan Bond of Stockbridge; daughter-in-law, Carol Mauldin of Surfside, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. White served 12 years in the United States Marine Corps, where he served in Vietnam. Funeral services will take place at noon Friday, July 16, 2004 at Pope Dickson & Son Morrow Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Cheek officiating. The interment will follow at Sunrise Memorial Gardens. Survivors include his son, Daniel White Jr. of Atlanta; sister, Bobby Ruth Cheek of Louisburg, Tenn.; brothers, Jerry Lee Cagle of Louisburg and Paul E. Cagle of Atlanta; mother and stepfather, Margaret and Orman Purvis of Conley; nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 15 at the funeral home.
