Rufus Earl "Pete" Pike Mason Rufus Earl "Pete" Pike, 70, of Jonesboro, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at Southern Regional Medical Center. He had retired as a supervisor from Atlanta Wire Works after 38 years, and had also worked for Callaway Mills for several years. He was a member of the Elm City Masonic Lodge 544. Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 25 at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel. Interment will follow at Shadowlawn Cemetery. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Debra and David J. Brown of Dallas; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Sylvia Pike of Jonesboro; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Terry Lamar Pike, and wife, Estelle Lockridge Pike. The family will receive friends from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday, July 24 at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted. Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home, LaGrange is in charge of arrangements. (706) 884-5626.
