Two drivers involved in an accident on Tara Boulevard both claim they had the green light. Around 10:12 a.m. Friday 50-year-old Barbara Baites of Hampton was driving south on Tara Boulevard near Lovejoy and attempted to turn left onto Hastings Bridge Road, according to Clayton County Polcie Officer Jimmy Cofield's report. Fred Coursey, 78, of Forest Park was driving north on Tara Boulevard when he hit Baites in the intersection. Coursey was taken to Atlanta Medical Center because he has a heart condition and suffered injuries to his hands and arms. Baites was taken to Southern Regional Medical Center with complaints of pain in the chest, abdomen, neck and back. Due to the opposing statements no determination of fault was made.More like this story
