Royce "Bo" Alexander


Royce "Bo" Alexander, age 72, of Atlanta, died Saturday, May 29, 2004, at Southern Regional Medical Center.

Born Dec. 27, 1931, he had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and had retired from the General Motors Assembly Line. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Forest Park. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Alexander and Lodie Belflower Alexander, and by a grandson.

Funeral services took place at 4 p.m. Tuesday, June 1 in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals, with the Rev. M.C. Powell officiating. Interment followed at Oakridge Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Marty Alexander, Ray Flowers, Andrea Flowers, Denzil Harrell, Donny Harrell, Rodney Harrell and Roy Kitchens. Honorary pallbearers were Joshua Harrell, Jay Harrell, Darrell Alexander, Alvin Powell, Dale Powell, Wayne Powell, Darrell Powell, Hal Ivey, Gary Harris and Clay Harris.

Survivors include his wife, Rosaline Powell Alexander; son, Marty Alexander; daughter, Kay Alexander Flowers of Atlanta; brother, Jake Alexander of Tifton; sisters, Reba Moncus of Leesburg, Edna Shell of Duluth and Burnice Harrell of Lathona; grandchildren, Kerri Flowers of Athens, Audria Flowers of Athens and Angie Alexander of Albany.

Emma "Lou" Hutchens


Emma "Lou" Hutchens, 73, passed away Monday, May 31, 2004, at Houston Medical Center.

Ms. Hutchens was born on Moses Creek, N.C. She was a homemaker and a Customer Service representative at Wal-Mart in Morrow for 17 years. Her husband, Robert E. Hutchens, parents, William B. and Edna Mae Wood, and grandson, Drew Hutchens preceded her in death.

Services will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3 at the Chapel of McCullough Funeral Home, with interment following in Glen Haven Memorial Cemetery.

Survivors include her son, Don Hutchens (Nancy) of Sewanee, Tenn.; son, Ron Hutchens of Colorado Springs, Colo.; son, Bill Hutchens (Cathy) of New Bern, N.C.; daughter, Kathy Barry (Randy) of Bonaire, Ga.; son, Robbie Hutchens (Donna) of McDonough; son, Andy Hutchens (Misty) of Hampton; brother, William V. Wood (Eva) of Willow Street, Pa.; 15 grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Shirley A. Kirkpatrick

Shirley A. Kirkpatrick, age 67, of Rex, died Monday, May 31, 2004.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick was a member of the Ladies Moose Lodge.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3 from Ward's Fairview Chapel, with the Rev. Jeff Daws officiating. Intombment will follow in the Fairview Mausoleum.

Survivors include her daughters, Kathy and Jack Lawrence of McDonough, Barbara and Gerry Suajhart of North Olmsted, Ohio, and Chris and Tom Thompson of Hampton; son, Bobby Jr. and Glenda Kirkpatrick of Stockbridge; sisters, Perline Suggs of Newnan, Glenda Shifflett of Pisgah, Ala. and Sandra Bowles of Florida; nine grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today.

Colleen M. Tribble, age 75, passed away Monday, May 31, 2004.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 3 at Parkway Garden Chapel, with the Rev. Bob Greene officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her daughters, Nan (Fred) Hutchins of North Carolina and Jane (Garnett) Parris of Stockbridge; stepdaughter, Daphne Shurley and family of Newnan; stepson, Berner Andrew Tribble Jr. and family of Florida; sisters, Leila Bonner and Gloria Trawick, both of Cairo; grandchildren, Matt Hollingsworth and Christina Parris; great-grandchildren, Melinda, Matthew and Mackenzie.
