The Suder Elementary School Council announced its meeting schedule. The council will meet at 7:30 a.m. on the second Wednesday of each month at Suder Elementary. The meetings are June 9, July 14, Aug. 11, Sept. 8, Oct. 13, Nov. 10 and Dec. 8.

The Jewell C. Anderson Elementary school council will meet at 7 a.m. June 15.

Honors

The Clayton County Board of Education will recognize the top six students in each grade level of "Challenge 24," a math skills competition, at its Monday board meeting. The top fourth-graders are first place Janay Stewart of River's Edge Elementary, second place Khadijah Jones of Oliver Elementary, third place Dina Truong of Hendrix Drive Elementary, regional semifinalist Preston Devonshire of Arnold Elementary, Nicholas Robinson of Harper Elementary and Jordan Benton of Northcutt Elementary.

The top fifth-graders are first place Deante Hitchcock of Pointe South Elementary, second place Elvin Chu of Smith Elementary, third place Patrick Umeibe of Kemp Elementary, regional semifinalist Alex Martin of Callaway Elementary, regional semifinalist Kiffany Zachary of King Elementary and regional semifinalist Jasmine Albritton of Suder Elementary.

The Lovejoy High School Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps received a certificate of recognition from the Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps for performing above and beyond normal expectations. Chief William J. Evon received the Outstanding Instructor Award.

Ramlat Idris, Bousso Mboup, and Khaleedah Johnson of the Riverdale High Book Club read 25 novels during a four-month period.

Terion Berry, a second grade teacher at Lake Ridge Elementary, completed the Gifted In-Field Endorsement Program and received a certificate of accomplishment from the Clayton County schools Staff Development Department.

Joseph Robinson of Hampton was awarded the Mary Hunter Lindsey Scholarship and the Pike Scholarship during the annual Honors Convocation at LaGrange College.

Lauren Patrus of Morrow was named to the Berry College dean's list for the spring semester.

Piedmont College announced that 13 Clayton County residents graduated this spring.
