Pearlene Chappell

Mrs. Pearlene Chappell of Forest Park passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Southern Regional Medical Center.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Forest Park.

A service will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10 at the First Baptist Church of Forest Park, with the Rev. W.H. Creel and the Rev. Dan McKay officiating. Mrs. Chappell will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Lawnwood Memorial Gardens in Covington, Ga.

Survivors include her spouse, R.L. Chappell; daughters, Charlotte Maxwell of Social Circle and Sherry Parker of McDonough; sons, J.T. Gilbert of Faulkville, Ala., and Larry Gilbert of Valdosta; grandchildren, Heather White of Covington, Jeremy Maxwell of Valrico, Fla., Heidi Parker of McDonough, and Zack Parker of McDonough; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pearl Cranford

Pearl Cranford, 86, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter in Jacksonville, Fla. following a year-long battle with cancer. She is now home with the Lord.

Her husband, James L. Cranford, son, James G. Cranford, and granddaughter, Bonnie Terry, preceded her in death.

Services will take place at Tara Garden Chapel, officiated by Pastor Bill Nunnally.

Survivors include her daughter, Betty Wright; grandchildren, Susan, Terri, Debbie, Christine, Kerry, Kelly, and Patrick; 16 great-grandchildren; sister, Verna Cameron; brothers, Bennie and Royce Farmer; daughter-in-law, Marie Cranford-Brock.

Brodus B. Johnson

Mr. Brodus B. Johnson, age 36, of Forest Park, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2004.

Funeral services will take place at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 10 in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, with the Rev. Curtis Turner officiating. Interment will follow at Jonesboro City Cemetery.

Survivors include his daughter, Jessica Lauren Johnson of Stockbridge; parents, Mr. Boyce T. and Sybil Johnson of Forest Park; sisters, Ann Drake of Fayetteville and Marie Johnson of Forest Park.

David Alvin Landrum

David Alvin Landrum, age 61, of Jonesboro, died Monday, June 7, 2004.

Funeral services will take place at 3 p.m. today, Wednesday, June 9 at Corinth Baptist Church, with Pastor Chuck Kitchens officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park.

Elizabeth Jane McLean

Elizabeth Jane McLean, age 62, a resident of Hampton, Ga. died Sunday, June 6, 2004.

Mrs. McLean was born April 2, 1942, in Melrose, Mass. She was a loving mother and grandmother that loved shopping, traveling and working crossword puzzles. Her faith in God was very important to her.

Funeral Services will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 10 at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with the Rev. Scott Hollingsworth officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Frankie Vincent Nocera, 38, of Forest Park, passed away Sunday, June 6, 2004.

Survivors include a son, Samuel Joseph Vincent Nocera; mother and father, Samuel and Tracie Taylor of Riverdale; sisters, Tracie Taylor of Riverdale and Wendy Rodriguez of Ohio; uncle, William Hampton; grandmother, Ann Hampton; nephew, Austin Rodriguez.

Jimmy Pritchett

Mr. Jimmy Pritchett, 62, of Jonesboro, passed away Monday, June 7, 2004, at Portsbridge Hospice.

Mr. Pritchett served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, and had been a long-time member of Valley Hill Baptist Church.
