Pearlene Chappell

Mrs. Pearlene Chappell of Forest Park passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at Southern Regional Medical Center.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Forest Park.

A service will take place at 11 a.m. today, Thursday, June 10 at the First Baptist Church of Forest Park, with the Rev. W.H. Creel and the Rev. Dan McKay officiating. Mrs. Chappell will lie in state one hour prior to service. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Lawnwood Memorial Gardens in Covington, Ga.

Survivors include her spouse, R.L. Chappell; daughters, Charlotte Maxwell of Social Circle and Sherry Parker of McDonough; brothers, J.T. Gilbert of Faulkville, Ala., and Larry Gilbert of Valdosta; grandchildren, Heather White of Covington, Jeremy Maxwell of Valrico, Fla., Heidi Parker of McDonough, and Zack Parker of McDonough; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Minnie C. Hawkins

Minnie C. Hawkins, age 96, a resident of Jonesboro, died Wednesday, June 9, 2004.

She was born in Hugo, Okla.

Funeral Services will take place at the Chapel of Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Directors on Friday, June 11 at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dudley Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her sons, Billy Hawkins of Jonesboro and Clyde Hawkins of Florida; grandchildren, Billie Jo Biles, Bobby Biles, Carl Biles, Carlos Biles, Mark Hawkins, Randy Hawkins, and Chuck Hawkins; sisters, Nettie Langford of Oregon, and Dorothy Ross of Texas; numerous great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by daughter Joyce Biles, brothers Joe Wolf and Charles Wolf, and sister, Audrey Pritchett.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Frankie Vincent Nocera

Frankie Vincent Nocera, 38, of Forest Park passed away Sunday, June 6, 2004.

Survivors include a son, Samuel Joseph Vincent Nocera; mother and father, Samuel and Pat Taylor of Riverdale; sisters, Tracie Taylor of Riverdale and Wendy Rodriguez of Ohio; uncle, William Hampton; grandmother, Ann Hampton; nephew, Austin Rodriguez.
