A man who called 911 claiming to have a gun also said he "wanted someone to help him sleep," police say. The man, whose name was not available Thursday, called 911 from a payphone in front of a Circle K convenience store on the corner of Flint River Road and Thomas Road around 11 a.m., said Clayton County police Detective Hank Derbyshire. "He said had a gun and he couldn't sleep and he needed somebody to help him sleep," Derbyshire said. When police arrived they convinced the man to give himself up. Derbyshire said no gun was found on the man. "He just needed somebody to talk to," Derbyshire said. The Circle K was briefly evacuated for the safety of the employees and customers.More like this story
