Ruby Estelle Banks

Mrs. Ruby Estelle Banks, 86, of Forest Park, went home to see the Lord Wednesday, June 16, 2004.

She was a beloved mother and homemaker. Mrs. Banks was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie C. Banks.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. today, Friday, June 18 in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ken Helms officiating. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Forest Park.

Survivors include her son, Jerry C. and Pam Banks of Temple, Ga.; their daughters, Elizabeth and Jessie; her daughter, Beverly and Mike Knowles of Fayetteville; their children and grandchild, Chris, Melissa and Emily Knowles of Sharpsburg, Jason and Natalie Knowles of Fayetteville, Alyce and Shane Head of Fayettville, Derek Knowles and Keith Knowles of Fayetteville.

Gladys L. Chastain

Gladys L. Chastain, 78, of Jonesboro, passed away Wednesday, June 16, 2004.

She was a homemaker.

Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 19 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, with Dr. Charles Q. Carter officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Jimmy Clowdus of Jonesboro; sisters, Edna Lites of McDonough and Grace Maddox of Fayetteville; grandchildren, John Clowdus, Terry Chastain Jr., and Lisa Smith; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
