Newspaper sponsoring Delta special salute

From Staff Reports

The News Daily and its sister publications the Daily Herald and the airport newspaper ATL are planning a special salute to Delta Air Lines and the people who have made it great during its first 75 years.

Were you there when Delta launched its first trans-Atlantic flight to London? Were you a mechanic on the DC-9 or even the DC-3 or 7? Were you a flight attendant who wore the "huntsman" a hat that was part of the uniform for flight attendants in the 1970s? Do you have memories of Mr. C.E. Woolman or Mr. W.T. Beebe. Were you a "yellowbird" who flew south in 1972 and became one of the family? Were you there when the "Spirit of Delta" was rolled out in 1982 after employees came together and weathered some hard times?

Share your stories, memories, and memorabilia with fellow Delta family members and readers of the News Daily, Daily Herald and ATL.
