Jack Crumling

Jack R. Crumling, 62, of Stockbridge, died June 26, 2004.

Crumling was an Army veteran. His foreign tour of duty included the Korea Conflict, Europe, Desert Storm, Kuwait and southwest Asia. Crumling received several awards during his foreign tour of duty: the Bronze Star, two Army commendations, four Army achievement medals, two Army good conduct medals, nine National Defense service medals, two southwest Asia service medals.

Crumling is survived by his wife, Wilma Crumling; son Jack R. Crumling of Hellam, Pa.; daughters Pamela Hess of Walkertown, N.C., Lori Coleman of Hiawassee, Ga., Carole A. Colburn of Gainesville, Ga. and Susan M. Grosvenor of Stockbridge; son Darrell Crumling of McDonough; mother Violet Mae Crumling; sister Judy Miller; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

A memorial service will be Monday, June 28, 2004, at 11 a.m. at Ward's Fairview Chapel with Pastor Jeff McBurnett officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Billy Gilbert

Billy Gilbert, 69, of McDonough, died June 26, 2004. He was born in Grove Oak, Ala., to the late Zelma and Wallace Ermon Gilbert and was employed by Wayfield Foods.

He is survived by daughters, Patricia G. Parker of Murfreesboro, Tenn., Tamara G. Strickland of Rossville, Ga.; sons Mark W. Gilbert of Covington, Wallace Randell Gilbert of McDonough, Michael Edward Gilbert of Locust Grove, Robert Daniel Gilbert of Florida; brothers Bobby Gilbert of Rainesville, Ala., Nolan Gilbert of Rainesville, Ala., Philip Gilbert of Kingston, Tenn.; sisters Frieda Walker of Atlanta and Sue Bradford of Gaylesville, Ala.; 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, June 29, 2004, at the chapel of Cannon-Cleveland Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens.
