The Clayton County Board of Education Community Relations Committee will meet at 6:30 tonight at the Administrative Complex, 1058 Fifth Ave., Jonesboro.
The committee will map out and plan public relations strategies for the school board and how to spread the word about school system news.
Specifically, the committee will discuss Channel 24, the school system's cable television station and upcoming public forums for the school board. No dates or topics have been decided for the public forums.
Among the issues the committee is looking to publicize are rezoning for the school system's three new schools, commemorating the new schools and the possibility of extending the special purpose local option sales tax.
The committee will also discuss updating the school system's Web site, www.clayton.k12.ga.us, and developing a public relations committee for the system's Blueprint for Progress, a plan for the school system's future successes.
