A Jonesboro man faces four counts of burglary in Henry County and McDonough after his arrest Tuesday in Cobb County. Marcel L. Cook, 28, of Upper Riverdale Road is suspected of burglarizing two BP convenience stores in February and two Texaco stores in March, the most recent March 12. Charged with Cook is Martaviuos D. Reid, 19, of Astor Avenue, Atlanta. They are in custody in Cobb County. Henry County police detective Capt. Keith Nichols said the men face other charges in jurisdictions from DeKalb County to Gainesville. Detective Joe Norton is working the case in Henry County. Norton said the men broke into the stores, stealing thousands of lottery tickets and cashing them in around metro Atlanta. Early Tuesday morning, Cobb County officers stopped three suspicious people at a pawnshop n Cook, Reid and Derod Wilson. Cobb police charged Reid and Wilson with possession of burglary tools and loitering and Cook was picked up on the Henry County warrants. Reid and Cook have not yet been booked through the Henry County Jail.More like this story
