Three teams from the Southern Crescent are a ranked in this week's gabaseball.net high school baseball top-10 poll. The Henry County Warhawks, which were ranked No. 1 in last week's poll, dropped down a spot after losing to Stockbridge in a game last week. However, the Warhawks appear back on track after beating Mt. Zion and Warner Robins in games called early by the 10-run mercy rule. Jonesboro is also ranked among the top teams in Class AAAAA. The Cardinals, who are still unbeaten in Region 2-AAAAA are tied for the fourth spot. Jonesboro began the week with an impressive victory against rival Mt. Zion. The Cardinals used two home runs by Alfred Arnold and one by Chris Smith to beat Mt. Zion Monday. Forest Park's baseball team is perhaps one of the most surprising teams.
