Wallace E. Bolen, 64, of Stockbridge, died May 1, 2004. He was known for and enjoyed cooking country foods such as fried chicken and cornbread, watching the history channel and tinkering with electronics. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired with 10 years of faithful service. After his tenure in the Army he became an electrician until his death.
Bolen is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Randy E. Mahaffey of Stockbridge; two grandsons, Trent E. Mahaffey, Cody E. Mahaffey, both of Stockbridge; brothers and sister-in-law, Paul and Peggy Bolen of Meridian, Miss., Bob and Jo Bolen of Spring, Texas; sisters Loraine Bolen of Mississippi, and Wanda Ford of Tupelo, Miss.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
