William Floyd Evans
William Floyd Evans, 61, of McDonough, died May 30, 2004, at Emory University Hospital. He was born in Spalding County on March 29, 1943, the son of the late Laura Gilmer and Wiley Evans.
He worked for Henry County DOT for 30 years, served his country in the U.S. Army and was an avid golfer. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Hulsey.
Survivors are his wife, Jenny Evans of McDonough; son Ted and Julie Evans of Griffin; stepchildren, Kim and Rodney Johnson of McDonough, Romey and Chris Whitaker of Griffin, Jim and Darlene Evans of Jackson and Jerry Evans of Jackson; sisters, Annie Upchurch of Locust Grove, Martha Walker of McDonough, Marilyn Biles of Hampton and Margie Brown of Hampton; four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 1, 2004, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with pastor Roger Powell officiating. Interment will be in Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home

Anna Louise Goddard, 80, of Jonesboro, died Friday, May 28, 2004. She is preceded in death by her husband, William "Bill" Goddard. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Jerry Gardner of Jonesboro; granddaughters, Natalie Woodall, Jenny Russell; grandsons, Austin Glenn Woodall, Nathanael Russell; stepchildren and stepgrandchildren. Memorial services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2004, in the chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home at 7 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
