Harry R. Chamberlin

Mr. Harry R. Chamberlin, 73, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2004.

He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Army, serving for 20 years in Europe in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He was a lifetime member of the VFW, and the ASCR International. He was the owner of R&C Services in Jonesboro.

Memorial services will begin at 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 in the Jonesboro Chapel of the Pope Dickson & Son Funeral Home, with Dr. Jimmy F. Orr officiating.

Survivors include his wife, Carrie Chamberlin; sons, Harry E. Chamberlin and Warren Chamberlin, both of Jonesboro; daughters and son-in-law, Harriet Chamberlin of Atlanta and Marion and Mike Laster of Newnan; mother, Marion Savery of Vermont; sisters, Mary Jane Lerman and Linda Paquinn, both of Vermont; grandchildren, Jim Knight of Sharpsburg and Charlie Laster of Newnan.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to NIRC, Div. Of ASCR, INTL, Millersville, Md.

F. Dan Watson Sr.

Mr. F. Dan Watson Sr. , 71, passed away Monday, Nov. 1, 2004, in Saint Joseph's Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. Watson, born Sept. 29, 1933, was a native of Clayton County, Ga., but has lived in Blairsville since 1997. Mr. Watson worked for SunTrust Mortgage and retired as a Senior Vice President after 29 years of service in 1993. Community service includes serving on the Clayton County Planning and Zoning Board for many years before moving to Blairsville, where Mr. Watson recently served on the Union County Planning Board. Mr. Watson was a member of the First Baptist Church of Epworth.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, Nov. 4 in the Chapel of Finch Cochran Funeral Home, with the Rev. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at the First Baptist Church of Epworth Cemetery. You may also view the video tribute at www.cochranfuneralhomes.com.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years. He is also survived by two sons, two daughters-in-law, and two grandsons: Dan and Janet Watson of Mableton, Ga. and their sons Nathan and Noah, and Tony and Kathy Watson of Stockbridge, Ga.

Richard "Ricky" D. Williams Jr.

Richard "Ricky" D. Williams Jr. of Jonesboro died Monday, Nov. 1, 2004.

He is survived by his wife Beverly Williams; sons Kane Leon Williams of Jonesboro and Jermey Williams of Locust Grove; father, Richard D. Williams of Alabama; mother, Ruby Williams of Jonesboro.

Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 5 at The Horis A. Ward Tara Chapel with the Rev. Buddy Sarvis officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 4 till 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
