Two 13-year-old students face charges after an altercation led one student to stab the other in the leg with a pair of scissors. Both students were on school bus No. 611 and the driver of the bus stopped on Flat Shoals Road near Chisolm Trail outside Riverdale after the incident occurred around 4 p.m. Thursday. One of the students, a girl, has been charged with a felony count of aggravated assault after stabbing the other student, a boy, after he kicked her, Clayton County Police Capt. Jeff Turner said. The boy was charged with simple battery and released to the custody of his father after the minor puncture wound to his upper right thigh was treated at the scene. Other children on the bus, all students at North Clayton Middle School, said the boy's injury was deep. "Then he got up and started yelling and screaming and threatening her, saying he was going to kill her," said 14-year-old Monterrion Wright. The bus continued on its normal route after the incident.More like this story
