Glenn Doyle "Red" Yates, 71, of Molena, Ga. died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at his home. Mr. Yates was a U.S. Navy veteran, a Delta Air Lines retiree, and owner of D-n-T Custom Tees. He was also a dedicated and talented musician, specializing in bluegrass as a member of "Brushfire." He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary A. "Toni" Yates. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 3 at McKoon Funeral Home, with Father Karl Duggan and Pastor Charles Bennett officiating. Interment will follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City, Ga. He is deeply loved and will be profoundly missed. Survivors include his daughters, Teresa Hobbs of Jonesboro, Deb Salter of Jonesboro and Sandra Salter of Jonesboro; sons, David Yates of Jonesboro and Alan Yates of Atlanta; sisters, Shirley Holloway of Austell, Ga. and Helen Horne of Franklin, Ga.; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous extended family and friends.
