Mrs. Clarice Maxwell Ballou, 93, of Locust Grove, Ga. died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004, at Benton House of Stockbridge.
She was born Sept. 29, 1911, in Hart County, Ga., daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Tulie and Jackson Oliver Maxwell. Her husband, W. T. Ballou, son, Jack Butler, and grandsons, Rodney Butler and Jackie Butler, preceded Mrs. Ballou in death. Survivors are children, Dennis and Phyllis Butler of Locust Grove, and Marsha and Dennis Manning of Jonesboro; brothers, O.B. Maxwell of Lilburn and Chandler Maxwell of Fayetteville; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Ballou will be Monday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with the Rev. Max Hall officiating. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
