Charles E. Johnson Jr.


Charles E. Johnson Jr., 55, of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004.

He was retired from Blair Village Food Town.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27 at the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home, with Dr. William E. Brennon officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; son and daughter-in-law, Charles E. III and Vicki Johnson of Watkinsville; son, Chris Johnson of McDonough; daughter, Ruby Allen of Jonesboro; father, Charles E. Johnson Sr. of Macon; sister, Jean Johnson Bartlett of Jackson; sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Jerry Cain of Locust Grove; four grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Cleo M. Moss

Mrs. Cleo M. Moss, 78, of Jonesboro passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2004, at the Spalding Regional Medical Center.

Mrs. Moss was born Oct. 27, 1925, in Columbus, Ga., daughter of the late John B. Mann and the late Mammie Etta Harris Mann. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marlin Downey.

Memorial services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 in the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel, with the Rev. Franklin Etheridge officiating.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Richard and Johnnie Yarbrough Sr. of Locust Grove and Donovan and Jo Beth Flanagan of Jonesboro; daughter, Susan Baccus of Jonesboro; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; brother, Earl Mann of Tifton.

In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society, 135-B Bradford Square, Fayetteville, GA 30215 of to The American Red Cross, 222 Meriwether St., Griffin, GA 30224 in memory of Mrs. Moss.
