ELCA wins first game in GHSA

From staff reports

So far, the Eagle's Landing Christian Academy athletic teams are holding in their own in their first year as a member of the Georgia High School Athletic Association.

The Christian School in McDonough decided to join the GHSA starting this fall after years as a member of the GISA.

Tuesday night, in a marathon softball game, which took nearly three hours to complete, the Lady Chargers defeated Mt. Paran 23-21.

It was the Lady Chargers first softball victory in GHSA. Last month, the school's football and volleyball teams won their first GHSA contests.

Eagle's Landing Christian (1-2) picked up plenty of offense en route to the victory.

Kaitlyn Hart (3-for-4), Allison King (2-for-4) and Marrissa Martin (2-for-5) each finished with three RBIs.

King added a triple and Hart and Martin both added doubles.

Twice in the game, Eagle's Landing Christian built 10-run leads, but failed to put Mt. Paran away.
