After playing to a scoreless tie at the end of regulation, Babb and Lovejoy Middle Schools found their offenses during a double-overtime shootout.
In the end, Babb won 16-14.
Bruce Gaines and Jarrett Kyles scored on a pair of 10-yard runs and Kyles found the end zone on two 2-point conversions en route to the win.
Lovejoy scored twice in the double overtime, but Babb's goal-line defense came up big in overtime, stopping Lovejoy on its final two-point conversion attempt.
No other information about the game was available at deadline.
Mundy's Mill 30, Forest Park 0: Mundy's Mill Middle School football player Michael Wells scored on touchdown runs of 4, 6 and 8 yards en route to a 30-0 win.
Fred Matthis also added a TD from the defensive side of the ball, returning a interception 37 yards.
Two-point conversions were added by Jerod Gilliam, Cliff Pugh and Jensen Floyd.
The win improved Babb's record to 2-0.
MD Roberts 34, Jonesboro 8: Patrick Aldridge rushed for two touchdowns and Freddy Shannon scored three times, twice rushing and once on a TD reception to pace M.D. Roberts to the win.
According to M.D. Roberts head coach Al Surfus, quarterback Cody Yancey played a flawless game. He also praised the efforts of offensive lineman Alex Cook and Anthony Williams.
Defensively, Yancey and Detarian Cowens each had an interception. Robert Smith and Darius Mitchell also had impressive games from the defensive side.
North Clayton 26, Riverdale 6: Charlie Starr scored three touchdowns for North Clayton. Starr scored on a 40-yard run, a blocked punt that he ran back for a TD and he recovered a fumble on a punt and ran it back for TD.
LaRobert Smith rounded out North Clayton's scoring on an interception return.
Defensive standouts for North Clayton were Kanavis Glasss and Albert Carlisle.
