Riverdale Police Capt. Phillip Neely suffered cuts to his hand and a swelling in his elbow Saturday after a struggle with an assailant led to both parties crashing through a business window, said Riverdale Interim Police Chief Greg Barney. Reporting to Ace Check Cash in Riverdale on fraudulent check call, Neely encountered Michael Eulin of Atlanta, who said he had arrived via C-TRAN bus service. Eulin eventually fled but was stopped by Neely. The confrontation caused them to lose their balance and fall back onto the business window, Barney said. Neely and Eulin were treated for injuries at Southern Regional Medical Center. Eulin is being held in the custody of county police.More like this story
