From Staff Reports
The Clayton County school system has decided to close all schools today. Superintendent Barbara Pulliam made the decision to close the schools Wednesday evening, according to Charles White, the system's communications director. Twelve-month employees should report at their regular times, White said. White said Pulliam has not made a decision on whether to close schools on Friday. Other metro Atlanta school systems, including Fayette County, Coweta County, Carroll County and Spalding County, also decided to cancel school for the day. Henry County is out all week on fall break. Clayton College & State University was expected to make a decision on whether to close school at 6 this morning, according to spokesman John Shiffert. No decisions have been made about Friday night's high school football games.More like this story
