Mrs. Katherine O. McCurry, 83 of Rex, GA., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2004, at the A. G. Rhodes Home in Atlanta.
Mrs. McCurry was born May 4, 1921, in Fulton County, GA. to the late Cleveland Bartow Scott and the late Flora Leon Morgan Scott. She was preceded in death by a son, Ronald McCurry, and a brother, Harold Scott. She retired after 44 years with Sears and was a 40-year member of the Ellenwood United Methodist Church, and loved working with flowers. Survivors include her son, Michael McCurry of McDonough, Ga.; daughter, Patricia Knox of Calhoun, Ga.; grandchildren, Karen Skinner, Nathan and Sherry Knox, Christy Aikens, Stephen, Michael and Michelle McCurry, Brian and Chris McCurry; brother, Leonard Scott of Anderson, S.C.; sister, Gwen Peek of Macon, Ga. A memorial service will be conducted beginning at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 26 at the Ellenwood United Methodist Church. The Rev. Karen Fisher will officiate.
