Mr. Richard Thurmond of Jonesboro passed away on April 5, 2005.
He leaves behind a wife, Mrs. Gail Thurmond of Jonesboro, Ga.; three daughters, Ms. Cindy Thurmond of Jonesboro, Ms. April Thurmond of Jonesboro, and Mrs. Melinda Segars of Jonesboro; mother, Mrs. Martha Thurmond; three sisters, Mrs. Beverly Walling, Mrs. Kellly Bush, and Mrs. Mary Caylor; two brothers, Mr. John Thurmond and Mr. Pat Thurmond; and three grandchildren. The visitation was held on Friday, April 8, 2005, from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home. The funeral will be on Saturday, April 9, 2005, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Pope Dickson and Son Jonesboro Chapel with the Rev. Tom Shannon officiating. He will be buried at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
