Mr. Howard K. Krapp, 67, of Moline, Ill., formerly of McDonough, Ga., passed away Monday, April 11, 2005, at his residence.

Mr. Krapp was born Feb. 23, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to the late Howard and Mary Cathrine Finnegan Krapp. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Pearson Taylor, in 1998. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and retired after 24 years of service, while stationed at Fort McPherson in 1979.

Survivors include daughters, Patsy and Donald Gray of Davenport, Iowa, Kimberly and Dr. Michael Leasenby of Moline, Ill., and Sheryl Taylor of Lilburn, Ga.; sons, John and Diane Krapp of Davenport, Iowa, Bruce and Debbie Taylor of Westminister, Colo., Greg Taylor of Smyrna, Ga., and Wayne and Sherry Taylor of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Pat Alberts of West Mifflin, Pa., and Sandy and Bill Poling of Oklahoma City, Okla.; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2005, from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. The Rev. Paul Leslie will officiate. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta at 3 p.m. with full military honors. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
