The Stockbridge Tigers track and field teams scored more than 200 points each, and that was enough to give the school a sweep in the 2005 Henry County Championships.
In the girls meet, Stockbridge scored 202.50 points, to beat second place Union Grove (142-points) by 60.5 points.
In the boys portion of the meet, Stockbridge put even more distance between itself and the rest of the field. The Tigers scored 202 points. Union Grove was also second in the boys event, scoring 122 points.
In the girls event, Stockbridge's victory was paced by Natrice Young, who captured three individual events, and also helped the Lady Tigers win the 4x100 relay team.
Young won the 100-meter dash (12.39), the 200-meter dash (26.74) and the long jump (14-11.75).
Teammate Jazmine Jones also won two events, capturing the 100-meter hurdles (15.50) and the 300-meter hurdles (48.0). She was also part of the winning 4x100 (50.75) and 4x400 (4:10.35) relay teams.
The Lady Tigers Brittany Palmer captured the 400-meters (1:01) and the 800 meters (2:29).
Union Grove's Tiffany Trotman captured two events with a win in the high jump (5-02), and the triple jump (33-11.75).
In the boys' event, Stockbridge's Xavier Gleen won both the 100-meters (10.84) and the 200 meters (22:35). He was also part of Stockbridge's winning 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams.
