The Student Services Department of Clayton County Public Schools will host a crisis intervention session for residents of Forest Park and the Mundy's Mill area. The first, for Forest Park parents and community members, is tonight at Jones Memorial United Methodist Church, 5320 Phillips Ave., Forest Park. The session for Mundy's Mill parents and community members is Friday at Greater St. Peter AME Church, 9540 Fayetteville Road, Jonesboro. Both sessions will begin at 6:30 p.m. "In response to the recent tragic events, our district is sponsoring sessions designed to provide support for parents and community members to help them understand their reactions to trauma," said Luvenia Jackson, assistant superintendent for student services. "School psychologists, social workers, and counselors will be on hand to guide the group session(s)."
