Mr. Herman Benton Cook, 76, of McDonough, GA. died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005, at Henry Medical Center.
Mr. Cook was born Jan. 1, 1929, in Sandersville, Ga., son of the late Sarah Margarett McMillan and Carrol Clayton Cook. He was a member of Timberridge Presbyterian Church, served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, retired from Atlanta Gas Light with 37 years, graduated from Lumber City High School Class of '48, and he enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. Mr. Cook is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Pat Kuglar Cook of McDonough; children, Brenda and Wallace P. Middleton of Savannah, and Kevin and Julie Cook of Canton; sisters, Marian and Tommy Tomlinson of Stockbridge, and Carolyn and Delbert Wilkes of Brunswick; grandchildren, Wallace and Jennifer Middleton, Jr. of Marietta, Sarah and Matt Harbin of Roanoke, Va., Stephanie Cook of Canton, and Brian Cook of Canton; and four great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mr. Cook will be Sunday, Feb. 6 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with the Rev. Rachael Knoll officiating. Interment will be at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
