Kennedy Shawn Neace

Kennedy Shawn Neace, 9 years of age, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005, at her home in Jonesboro.

When she was born early, there was little hope she would make it through her coming days. By prayer and the grace of God she beat all odds with her overwhelming will to live and the support of everyone in her life, she pulled through time and time again. Now the angels have made their final call. And though Kennedy was here for a short time she touched so many lives and brought joy to everyone she encountered. Now Kennedy goes home to walk and talk with Jesus and all the loved ones that have already made that journey. Kennedy will be missed by many, by no one more than Nana and Papaw.

Her funeral services will begin at noon Saturday, Feb. 26 at Horis A. Ward - Tara Chapel with entombment to follow at Camp Memorial Park. The Rev. Brooks Parker and Pastor Dan Atkins will officiate.

Kennedy is survived by her father, Shawn Neace, and mother, Jennifer Neace; sisters, Kayleah Neace and Madelynn Neace; brother, Kristopher Neace; maternal grandparents, Perry and Roselin Knight of Brooks; paternal grandparents, Harold and Sherri Neace of Jonesboro; great-grandmother, Mary Jones of Rex; uncle, Aaron Neace of Jonesboro.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 25.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southwest Christian Hospice and Hope House, 2775 Lester Road, Union City, GA 30291.
