Chandler Ladell Snowden

Mr. Chandler Ladell Snowden, 85, of Jonesboro died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2005.

Mr. Snowden is survived by his loving wife, Margie Snowden; sons, Wendell Snowden and Harold Snowden; daughters, Patricia Henderson and Virginia Sims; 22 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, in the Jonesboro Chapel of the Pope Dickson & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Sherwood Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Dorothy N. Cargile

Dorothy N. Cargile, 78, of Stockbridge, Ga., died Jan. 5, 2005.

She loved gardening, watching the food network and animal planet, and her dog Rosie.

Dorothy Cargile is survived by daughters, Terri Revis of Pendleton, S.C., Susan Ferguson of Albany, Ga., Lindee Pace of Conley, Ga.; grandchildren, Joi Adams of Stockbridge, Ga., Gina Adams of Stockbridge, Ga., Cliff Donald, of Chatham, Ill., Johnny Donald, of Springfield, Mo., Shelli Gunter, of Townville, S.C., Dotti Donley of Greenville, S.C., Ginny Pace of Statesboro, Ga.; sisters, Katie Pittman of McDonough, Ga., Mary McHugh of Fayetteville, Ga.; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 8, 2005, at the Chapel of Cannon-Cleveland with the Rev. Clint Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends Jan. 7, 2005, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
