Edna Marie Allen

Edna Marie Allen, 85, of McDonough, formerly of Morrow, passed away Monday, Jan. 11, 2005.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Morrow for more than 30 years.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Herbert "Neil" (Ninnah) Allen Jr. of Orlando, Fla. and Don (Jeannie) Allen of Alpharetta; daughter and son-in-law, Robert C. "Bob" (Judy) Allen of Acworth; daughter and son-in-law, Jeannie (Tommy) Watkins of Shreveport, La.; brothers, Phillip Byron Carlisle of Owensboro, Ky. and Don W. Carlisle of Deltona, Fla.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 12 at the First Baptist Church of Morrow with remains placed in state one hour prior to the service. The Rev. Stephen Cook will officiate. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p. m. today at the funeral home.

Donald W. "Don" Brock Sr.

Donald W. "Don" Brock Sr. of Hampton died Friday, Jan. 7, 2005.

He is survived by his wife, Sara Brock of Hampton; sons, Donald Brock Jr. of Union City, Larry Brock of Rossville, and Brian Brock of Jonesboro; sister, Dottie Brown of Chattanooga, Tenn.; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 11 at Horis A. Ward Tara Chapel with the Rev. Billy Lewis officiating. Interment will follow at Jones Memorial Methodist Church Cemetery.

Ida Lee Cape

Funeral services for Ida Lee Cape, 84, of Greenville, Ga. will begin at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 13, 2005, at Tara Garden Chapel, Jonesboro with son-in-law the Rev. Wayne E. Settle and grandsons the Rev. David R. Cape, the Rev. Steve Cape, and the Rev. Jason Settle officiating. Graveside service and burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Cape, a member of Rocky Mount Baptist Church and former member of West Merritts Baptist Church in Atlanta, went to be with her Lord Monday, Jan. 10, 2005.

She was a retired employee of 37 years for Nabisco and a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Margie and Wayne Settle of Greenville; son and daughter-in-law, David and Lauren Cape of Ellijay; daughter, Betty Turner of Locust Grove; 12 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren who all "rise up and call her blessed, for her price is far above rubies."

James Elijah Fox

Mr. James Elijah Fox, 80, of Riverdale passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005.

Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, James E. Fox II and Bertie of Rex and Bobby L. Fox of Monticello; stepsons, Ed McConnell of Riverdale and Carlos L. McConnell; sisters, Elizabeth Byrd of Riverdale and Edith Lawrence of Riverdale; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 13 from the Chapel of Ford-Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Bethsaida Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Timmy Rogers

Timmy Rogers, 26, from Jonesboro died Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005.

Survivors include his mother and father, Jacklin and David Rogers; brother and sister-in-law, Billy and Kim Rogers; sister and brother-in-law, Jacqueline and Jaime Gonzalez; three nieces; three nephews.

He is preceded in death by his brother, David Bubba Rogers.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. today, Tuesday, Jan. 11 in Chapel with interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens.
