Ruth B. Remetta
Ruth B. Remetta, age 79, a resident of Forest Park for 55 years, died Jan. 23, 2005.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband George Remetta and is survived by daughters, Connie Olsen and Duncan Creed, of Green Valley, Ariz., and Gail and J.B. Summerour, of McDonough; son, George Michael Remetta, of Mobile, Ala.; sisters, Julia Herrington, of North Carolina, Doris Heaton, of Forest Park, and Betty Schenck, of Roswell; grandchildren, Lanette Jones, Bryant Summerour, Tyler Olsen and Melissa Olsen; and a great-grandchild, Andrew Summerour.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the chapel of Cannon-Cleveland, with Rev. Ralph Easterwood officiating. Reagan Marie Smith
Reagan Marie Smith, infant daughter of Deena and Jonathan Smith, of McDonough, passed away Jan. 22, 2005, at Scottish Rite Hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 2005, at Henry Medical Center.
Besides her parents, she is survived by a brother, Alexander Reid Smith; grandparents, Glynn and Beverley Smith, of McDonough, Nancy Alexander, of Pendleton, S.C., Susan and Michael Holloway, of Jackson; great-grandparents, Howard and Anne Cramer, of McDonough, Lewis and Malzie Smith, of Tallassee, Ala., Zola Turner, of Greenville, S.C.; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 3 p.m. from Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Dr. Jeff Gongwer and Dr. Benny Tate will officiate. Morgan Ray Brazil
Mr. Morgan Ray Brazil, Sr.,, age 77, of Locust Grove, died Jan. 22, 2005, at his residence. Mr. Brazil was born March 9, 1927, in LaGrange, the son of the late Mary Bell Phillips and Charlie Price Brazil. He was a member of Phillippi Baptist Church, UAW Local #34, retired from GM as a metal finisher. Mr. Brazil served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII.
A brother, Charles Brazil, preceded him in death. Survivors are his loving wife, Edna Brazil, of Locust Grove; children, Ellen McSpaddin, of Fayetteville, Morgan and Rose Brazil, of Locust Grove, Roger and Tammie Brazil, of Rex, and Barry Brazil, of Locust Grove; sisters, Betty Henderson, of Columbus, Ga., LaMerle and Charles Psalmonds, of Columbus, Ga., Barbara and John Yates, of Cameron, N.C., Shirley and Bob Vance, of Bowden, and Wylene and Gary Keiley, of Cameron, N.C.; sister-in-law Frances Brazil, of Dickerson, Texas; 10 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Brazil will be Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home, with Rev. Joey Seabolt and Rev. Oscar Walker officiating. Katherine Hill Fuselier
Mrs. Katherine Hill Fuselier, age 66, of McDonough, died Jan. 22, 2005, at Sacred Journey Hospice. Mrs. Fuselier was born Sept. 14, 1938, in Blairsville, the daughter of the late Estie Young and Paul Vasco Hill. Mrs. Fuselier was known as Kathy and Miss Kathy to her kindergarten classes that she dearly loved. She was a devoted wife and mother who also enjoyed working with children and animals. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Mrs. Fuselier was preceded in death by a daughter, Jane Marie Fuselier, in April 1975, and brothers Bobby Hill, in July 1998, and Leon Hill, in 1999. Survivors are her husband, Ernest Jay Fuselier, of McDonough; sons and daughter-in-law, John and Sandy Fuselier, of Flovilla, and Pete Fuselier, of Austin, Texas; brothers, Raymond Hill, of Morganton, and Buddy Hill, of Elberton.
Funeral services for Kathy Fuselier will be Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 10 a.m. at Salem Baptist Church, with Rev. Dan McKay officiating. Interment will be at noon at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park.
