Marietta Marie Campbell

Marietta Marie Campbell of Jonesboro went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John T. Campbell, and two daughters, Charlotte E. Brosious of Jonesboro and Barbara A. Tolbert of Stockbridge; brother, Rayburn Jones of Newnan; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church for over 50 years. She taught Sunday school for more than 25 years and served faithfully in many other ministries.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at The Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Martin Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 till 8 p.m. today and Thursday, Jan. 27 from 2 till 4 and 6 till 8 p.m. at Horis A. Ward Tara Chapel, Jonesboro (770) 471-7171.

Sandra Davis

Mrs. Sandra Davis of Hampton died Monday, Jan. 24, 2005, at the Fayetteville Community Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alwyn Davis.

Memorial services will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28 at Eastside Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Gilliam officiating.

Survivors include her daughters, Kerry Davis of Villa Rica and Pam and Jay Pointek of Fairburn; son, Lee and Jean Davis of Hampton; grandchildren, Kayleigh, Courtney and Kelsey; beloved friend of Christine and Alan Barnes of England, and beloved cat, Dean.

Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 27 at the funeral home.

Annie Ruth Howell

Mrs. Annie Ruth Howell, 82, of Clayton County passed away Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005.

Survivors include her brother, T. J. Hicks; brothers-in-law, Robert Howell and Freddie Howell; sister-in-law, Diane Howell Bagley; children, Glenda Howell Elkins and David Elkins, and Terry and Teresa Howell; grandchildren, Jason and Sandy Elkins, Jeromy Howell and Alicia Carden, Jennifer Elkins and Mike McIntyre, Kimberly Howell and Jason Yother; great-grandchildren, Katrina and Anna Elkins, Kami Elkins, Emmory and Ethan McIntyre, and Damon Nellor; many nieces and nephews, church family and friends.

Ms. Howell was a member of The Rock Baptist Church, where she served as a 9 year-old Sunday School teacher for 30 plus years. She was a past matron of Ellenwood Eastern Star. Ms. Howell retired from Arrow Shirt Company after 30 years of service. She gave donations to the following organizations: Atlanta Union Mission, American Cancer Research, Diabetes Assoc. for Research, Feed the Children, and Trinity Broadcasting.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 29 at The Rock Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Cunningham and the Rev. Don Bazal officiating. Interment will follow at The Rock Baptist Church Cemetery beside her beloved husband Marvin Howell. Mrs. Howell will lie in state at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time.

The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 28 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
