David Douglas Blanchard

David Douglas Blanchard, 62, of Rex, Ga. passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at his residence.

Mr. Blanchard was born March 6, 1942, in Mobile, Ala., son of the late Dallas Blanchard and the late Georgia Van Bethune Blanchard. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, and was always willing to help others. He was a member of the Stockbridge Assembly of God. He was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Blanchard.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Martha L. Blanchard of Rex; daughter and son-in-law, Margaret E. and Douglas T. Roberts of Wasilla, Alaska; son and daughter-in-law, Andy and Jerri Blanchard of Loganville; grandchildren, Joshua, Charity, Hannah, Nathan and Abby Blanchard, all of Loganville and Joy Anna Roberts of Wasilla, Alaska; brothers and sisters-in-law, Dallas and Glenda Blanchard of Pensacola, Fla., Paul and Shirley Blanchard of Oklahoma City, Okla.; sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Cecil Sullivan. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 28 at the Stockbridge Assembly of God with the Rev. Jerry Stewart officiating. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Mr. Blanchard will be carried to the church to lie in state one hour prior to the service time.

Friends may visit the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Marietta Marie Campbell

Marietta Marie Campbell of Jonesboro went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2005.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John T. Campbell, and two daughters, Charlotte E. Brosious of Jonesboro and Barbara A. Tolbert of Stockbridge; brother, Rayburn Jones of Newnan; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Campbell was a member of the Zion Hill Baptist Church for over 50 years. She taught Sunday school for more than 25 years and served faithfully in many other ministries.

Funeral services will begin at 10 a.m. Friday at The Zion Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Martin Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 2 till 4 and 6 till 8 p.m. today at Horis A. Ward Tara Chapel, Jonesboro (770) 471-7171.
