Leonard W. "Sonny" Rose, 75, formerly of Jonesboro died at his home in Palm Coast, Fla. surrounded by his family.

Sonny retired from Delta Air Lines as a maintenance supervisor. He was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, lived and raised his family in Jonesboro and retired to Palm Coast Fla. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Palm Coast United Methodist Church and its choir, the Coral Arts Choir, the VFW Post 8696, Jonesboro Lodge #87, and the Yaarab Temple. Sonny enjoyed fishing, flowers, gardening, and singing.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sharlene; a son and daughter in law, Kerry and Terri; a daughter Vicki Coleman; two sisters; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to the Jonesboro United Methodist Church, or the American Diabetes Foundation. A memorial service will be held at the Jonesboro United Methodist Church Saturday July 30, 2005 at 1 p.m..
