Mrs. Martha Corine Nail Chambers, age 93 of McDonough passed away Friday, July 29, 2005 at the Henry Medical Center. Mrs. Chambers was born September 11, 1911 in Henry County to the late John and Martha Elizabeth Speir Nail. She was preceded in death by her husband Benjamin Franklin Chambers in 1981, daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Perry Stephens, and a son, Otis Chambers. She was a homemaker and a member of Forest Primitive Baptist Church in Forest Park. Survivors include children and spouses, James and Jewell Chambers of McDonough, Benny and Annette Chambers of McDonough, Martha Jo and Jerry Meise of Farmington, NY, Linda and Tommy Dodson of McDonough; daughter in law, Lee Chambers of Mt. Dora. Fla.; 15 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 1, 2005 at 11 a.m. from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Elder Stanley Lee will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
