Izell D. McGill

Mr. Izell D. McGill, age 53, of Atlanta, passed away, Friday, June 10, 2005 at Christian Ministries Hospice.

Mr. McGill was born in Olanta, South Carolina on May 21, 1952. Mr. McGill was retired from the United States Army having served 20 years. After his retirement with the Army, he has been employed at the Forest Park Post Office. He was a member of the Red Oak Methodist Church.

Survivors include, his wife Camilla M. McGill; his parents, Daniel and Lucille McGill of Olanta, S.C.; daughter, Natasha McGill; sons, Izell (Lacretia) McGill, Ill , Jamar McGill all of Atlanta; stepchildren, Melissa (Robert) Dickerson of Rex, Tanisha (Zerald) Moore of Douglasville, Jerry Perry of Douglasville; 2 granddaughters, Madison and Mahogany McGill; 5 step-grandchildren, Danisa, Verdell and Tia Moore, Mika Dickerson, Tavares Sledge; sisters, Lenora (Tommie) Hickson of Olanta, SC., Mary (Alvin) Green, Cheryl (Willis) Goodman all of Lynchburg, SC.; brothers, Davis (Juwanna) McGill of Detroit, Mich., James (Cindy) McGill of District Heights, MD; nephew raised as a brother, James "Fuzzy" (Mary) McGill of Sumter, SC.; cousin raised as a brother, George "Henry" ( Ronette) Gardner; grandmother, Mary Durant, of Lynchburg, SC.; aunts, Julia Barnes, of Lynchburg, SC., Ella Mae McKnight of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Marjorie Gardner of Lynchburg, SC., Clara Mae Burgess of Lynchburg, SC. and Mary (Ernest) Burgess of Irvington, NJ.; uncles, Raymond McGill of Sumter, SC., Ollis McGill of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Marion (Alice) McGill of Baltimore, MD.; mother-in-law, Lucille Williams of Augusta; 10 brothers-in-law and four sisters-in-law; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Izell D. McGill will be conducted on Wednesday at 1p.m. in the chapel of the Conner-Westbury Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Griffin Memorial Gardens with full Military Honors. Friends may visit the family on Tuesday from 6-8p.m. at the funeral home
