A man charged with the murder of his wife was denied bond this weekend. James Edward Lott, 37, was arrested Friday after police discovered his wife stabbed to death in the couple's Riverdale apartment. On Friday morning, 52-year-old Lorenza Lott's daughter became concerned about her mother not reporting for work. Lott's daughter and nephew went to the apartment in Belmont Landings where the couple lived together. Maintenance workers at the complex tried to unlock the apartment door, but when they were unable to do so, the nephew kicked it down. Police say the relatives found Lott face down in her bedroom.More like this story
