Mrs. Betty Mize

Mrs. Betty Sue Mize of Morrow, Ga. passed away at her home on June 19th.

She is survived by her daughters, Billie Sue Hodges, Deborah Tanner, Brenda Gosdin; son, Earle Mize; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Tuesday June 21st from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral will be held at the Horis A. Ward Funeral Home on June 22nd at 2 p.m. Interment will be at the College Park Cemetery. Horis A. Ward - Tara Chapel of Jonesboro is in charge of arrangements and may be contacted at 770-470-7171.

Dr. Rosalie Haraszti

Dr. Rosalie B. Haraszti, M.D., age 84 of Jonesboro, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 17, 2005.

Dr. Haraszti was born in Orgovany, Hungary and came to the United States in 1956 with her husband and five children. Dr. Haraszti is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Alexander S. Haraszti, M.D., Ph.D., and her son Benedict F. Haraszti, CPA, her parents Rozalia Gubacsi Ban and Rev. Gabor Ban and her brother, Dr. Gabor Ban, M.D. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Joseph S. Haraszti, M.D., and his wife Frances Haraszti and Dr. Leland B.G. Haraszti, M.D., her daughters, Dr. Rose B. Badaruddin, M.D. and her husband, Dr. Syed Badaruddin, P.A., Stella Celeste Beerman, MFA and her husband, acclaimed Contemporary American Composer, Professor Burton Beerman, her daughter, Dr. Pamela Gouth, M.D., and her husband Dr. Janos Gouth; her granddaughters, Dr. Anisa Threlkeld, M.D., and her husband, Robert Threlkeld, and Samantha Haraszti; her grandsons, Dr. Christopher J. Haraszti, M.D. and his wife Melissa, Kareem Badaruddin and his wife Denise, Shandor Babaruddin, and his wife Michelle, Brent Beerman and his wife Kathleen, and Johnny Gouth; her great-grandchildren, Christopher Ritter, and Paulina Carol Haraszti, Anisa Rose and Alexander Liam Threlkeld, Bryce Sabir and Simone Avalon Badaruddin, Helen Grace, Zoltan Patrick Elvis and Ann Rose Badaruddin and Justin and Jessica Beerman. She has one surviving brother, Zoltan Ban and his wife Jolanska of Osca, Hungary as well as two nieces, Beatrix Ban and Judith Ban, also of Hungary. Dr. Haraszti will be buried alongside her husband, Dr. Alexander Haraszti, M.D., Ph.D. and her son Benedict F. Haraszti, CPA.

Dr. Haraszti family will receive friends for visitation at Pope Dickson & Son - Morrow Chapel June 20, 2005 from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. at the Morrow Chapel of Pope Dickson & Son. Dr. John Akers, Special Assistant to Rev. Dr. Billy Graham will deliver the eulogy. Rev. Dr. Lanny Loe, Senior Executive Associate Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro, Georgia will be presiding. Dr. A. Hugh MacDonald, her previous pastor at First Baptist Church of College Park, Georgia and Rev. Sandor Kulcsar, President of the Hungarian Baptist Union of North America will perform the graveside service at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where the interment will take place. Mrs. Cheryl Dunson

Mrs. Cheryl Dunson, age 49 of McDonough passed away Sunday, June 19 at the Henry Medical Center.

Mrs. Dunson was born August 8, 1955 in Fulton County to the late James Benson and Vera Lee Newman Dodson. She worked for 30 years with Suntrust Bank, recently at the Georgia Operations Center in Stockbridge. Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Lee Dunson and daughter Kristen Dunson both of McDonough; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Wade Lewis; nephews, Jonathan Lewis, Alan and Kristie Lewis, all of Montevallo, Ala. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, June 21 at 1 p.m. from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Dr. Ben N. Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park. The Rev. Roy Dean

Rev. Roy Marvin "Uncle Marvin" Dean, Jr., 51, of Jonesboro, Ga. formerly of Columbus died Saturday, June 18 in Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m.. on Wednesday June 22 at Cascade Hills Church with interment in Parkhill Cemetery according to Striffler - Hamby Mortuary, Macon Road.

The family will receive friends this evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Dean was born October 1, 1953 in Chambers County, AL and was the son of June Moore Dean of Sugar Hill, Ga. and the late Roy Marvin, Sr. He was a member and Missions Minister at First Baptist Church in Jonesboro as well as the pastor of Bikers The Church of Jonesboro. He was involved with various local charitable motorcycle events including Children's Miracle Network Miracle Ride and Bikes on Broad. Mr. Dean was the founder of Cry Freedom Ministries. Survivors other than his mother include his son, John Caleb Dean of Clayton, AL; one sister, Debbie Patchin of Sugar Hill, GA; two brothers, Tommy Dean of Ellerslie and Greg Dean of Armuchee, Ga.; several nieces and nephews.
