Billy Miller Sr.

Mr. Billy R. Miller, Sr., age 72, of McDonough, passed away Sunday, June 19, 2005 at Christian Ministries Hospice in Riverdale.

Mr. Miller was born June 23, 1932 in Hawkins County, Tenn., son of the late William Henry Miller and the late Josephine Johnson Weaver. He was an ex-paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division and served in WWII. He was also a licensed airplane pilot. He was the proud owner of Miller Sign Company located in Clayton County and had been in business since 1957. He recently published his first book titled "Lets Get Serious" and had framed some of his artwork to sell. He was the proud father of nine children, 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was a devout Christian and lived his life for the Lord. He was a great artist, sign painter, husband, father and granddaddy and will be missed greatly. He was preceded in death by his twin brother, Jack R. Miller; brother, Hershel Miller and son, Davey Crockett Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Connier Miller of McDonough; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy R. Miller, Jr. "Dusty" and Denise of Hampton, Timmy Miller of Stockbridge, Dana and Stephanie Miller of Georgia, Troy and Amanda Miller of Jonesboro; daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky Tyner of Louisiana, Tammy and Chuck Partain of McDonough, Christy and Robert Sellards also of McDonough, Julie and Andy Sims of Fayetteville; sisters, Dorothy Roberts of Clarksville, Tenn., Georgie Rader of Melbourne, Fla., Virginia Gaylon of Knoxville, Tenn., and brother and sister-in-law, Kyle and Linda Miller of Kennesaw.

Funeral services for Mr. Billy R. Miller, Sr. will be held TODAY Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 2 p.m. in the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Dr. Rosalie Haraszti

Dr. Rosalie B. Haraszti, M.D., age 84 of Jonesboro, Georgia went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 17, 2005.

Dr. Haraszti was born in Orgovany, Hungary and came to the United States in 1956 with her husband and five children. Dr. Haraszti is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Alexander S. Haraszti, M.D., Ph.D., and her son Benedict F. Haraszti, CPA, her parents Rozalia Gubacsi Ban and Rev. Gabor Ban and her brother, Dr. Gabor Ban, M.D. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Joseph S. Haraszti, M.D., and his wife Frances Haraszti and Dr. Leland B.G. Haraszti, M.D., her daughters, Dr. Rose B. Badaruddin, M.D. and her husband, Dr. Syed Badaruddin, P.A., Stella Celeste Beerman, MFA and her husband, acclaimed Contemporary American Composer, Professor Burton Beerman, her daughter, Dr. Pamela Gouth, M.D., and her husband Dr. Janos Gouth; her granddaughters, Dr. Anisa Threlkeld, M.D., and her husband, Robert Threlkeld, and Samantha Haraszti; her grandsons, Dr. Christopher J. Haraszti, M.D. and his wife Melissa, Kareem Badaruddin and his wife Denise, Shandor Babaruddin, and his wife Michelle, Brent Beerman and his wife Kathleen, and Johnny Gouth; her great-grandchildren, Christopher Ritter, and Paulina Carol Haraszti, Anisa Rose and Alexander Liam Threlkeld, Bryce Sabir and Simone Avalon Badaruddin, Helen Grace, Zoltan Patrick Elvis and Ann Rose Badaruddin and Justin and Jessica Beerman. She has one surviving brother, Zoltan Ban and his wife Jolanska of Osca, Hungary as well as two nieces, Beatrix Ban and Judith Ban, also of Hungary. Dr. Haraszti will be buried alongside her husband, Dr. Alexander Haraszti, M.D., Ph.D. and her son Benedict F. Haraszti, CPA.

Funeral services are scheduled for TODAY Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at 4 p.m. at the Morrow Chapel of Pope Dickson & Son. Dr. John Akers, Special Assistant to Rev. Dr. Billy Graham will deliver the eulogy. Rev. Dr. Lanny Loe, Senior Executive Associate Pastor of the First Baptist Church of Jonesboro will be presiding. Dr. A. Hugh MacDonald, her previous pastor at First Baptist Church of College Park and Rev. Sandor Kulcsar, President of the Hungarian Baptist Union of North America will perform the graveside service at Sherwood Memorial Gardens where the interment will take place. Mr. Howard Camp

Mr. Howard Lamar Camp, 91, Riverdale, passed away June 20, 2005.

He is survived by his wife of 69 years of marriage, Mrs. Thelma Camp; sons, Robert Lamar and Joann Camp, James Edward and Helen Camp; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Camp; brother, David H. Camp; seven grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Larry Eugene Camp. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Riverdale for over 70 years.

Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church of Riverdale at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 23. Pastor Jeffrey Lowe will officiate with burial to follow at the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Riverdale. James M. Turner

James M. Turner, age 89, of Rex, Ga., passed way Monday, June 20, 2005 at the Clayton Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife Polly Turner; sons, J.J. Turner, Mickey Turner and Ricky Turner; daughter, Reba Patterson; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, June 23 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Ward's Parkway Chapel in Forest Park. A private memorial service will be held later for the family.

Mrs. Margaret C. Sowell

Mr. Margaret C. Sowell, age 75, of Lake City, Ga. passed away June 21, 2005.

She is survived by her husbnd, John (J.B.) Sowell; daughter, Susan Kyte and husband Wallace of Forsyth, Ga.; sons, Jim Sowell and wife Donna Faye of Lilburn, Ga., Mike Sowell and wife Elaine of Greenville, Ga.; brother, Ray Caldwell of Gay, Ga.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and three nephews. Mrs. Sowell was retired from Cluett-Peabody Co. where she worked in payroll and accounting. She was a member of Ash Street Baptist Church in Forest Park. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 23, 2005 at 2 p.m. from Ward's Parkway Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Cheek officiating. Interment will be at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in McDonough, Ga. The family will receive friends today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
