Shirley H. Phillips

Shirley H. Phillips, age 69 of Forest Park died Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at Southern Regional Medical Center.

She is survived by husband, Harry Phillips; sons, Keith and Robin Phillips of Cave Spring, Michael and Michelle Phillips of McDonough, Stephen Phillips of Ellenwood, Scott and Jeaninne Phillips of Tampa, Fla., Brian and Nikki Phillips of Peachtree City; sister, Joyce Thomas of Hudson, Fla.; brother, Mitchell Hamby of Bolivar, Tenn.; grandchildren, Corey, Meagan, Cole, Blakeley, Abbey, Clay, Cameron, Christopher, and Allie; nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son, Joseph Phillips.

Mrs. Phillips was known for her good cooking and service to her church.

Funeral Services will be Friday at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Forest Park with the Rev. Phil Gilbert officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.

Martha Ann Studle

Mrs. Martha Ann Studle, age 69 of McDonough passed away Tuesday, June 28, 2005 in Savannah.

Mrs. Studle was born July 28, 1935 in Chicago, Kentucky to the late Joseph Adrian and Annie Lorene Downs Cross.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Cathy Kemp in 1998; brothers, Albert and Clyde Cross, and a sister, Izola Clark.

She had worked for Bryn Mawr Sportswear, a member of St. Philips Benizi Catholic Church in Jonesboro, a member of American Legion Post 258 Women's Auxiliary, loved Bingo and travels to Las Vegas.

Survivors include her children, Charles and Debbie Studle of McDonough, Cindy and Ray Smith of Monticello, Chris Studle of Fitzgerald, Mike Studle and Misty Scott of Stockbridge, Susan Studle of McDonough; grandchildren, Ryan and Blake Studle, Amber Smith, Doug Garrett, and Brooke Scott; siblings, Helen Shelton of Noblesville, Ind., Joe Cross of Lebanon, Ind., Shirley Wright of Greenwood, Ind., Mary Wilson of Avon, Ind., and Madonna Hayes of Leesburg, Fla.

A funeral mass will be held Saturday, July 2, 2005 at 1 p.m. from St. James the Apostle Catholic Church with Father Terry Crone as Celebrant. Interment will follow at Haisten/Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. A Rosary service will be held Friday evening at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home.
