Sherry Sikes Sherry Sikes, ages 46, of McDonough, died March 5, 2005. She was born in Arab, Ala., to the late Ella Smith (Baker) and LeRoy Smith. She was a member of Rock Cut Baptist Church and was employed with Sun Trust Bank as a bank support specialist. Sherry Sikes is survived by her husband, Larry Sikes, of McDonough; daughter, Teri Lyn Sikes, of McDonough; sisters, Anna Marie and Ronnie Bell, of McDonough, Trena Smith, of Fayetteville; brother, Johnny and Robi Smith, of McDonough; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Cannon Cleveland Funeral Directors, with Brother Bob Howard, Brother E.C. Chatham and Brother Steven Bell officiating. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Juanita Thacker Mrs. Juanita Grace Carney Thacker, age 87, of McDonough, passed away Saturday, March 5, 2005, at the Sacred Journey Hospice. Mrs. Thacker was born Aug. 22, 1917, in Pickens County, the daughter of the late Elias Alred Carney and the late Mattie Clemmons Carney. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James Andrew Thacker. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Jimmy Ellington, of McDonough, and Sara and Joe Sansone, of Alpharetta; sisters, Dean Hamby and Wilhelmina "Pud" Peterson, both of Nelson, and Margie Cole, of Marietta; sister-in-law, Frances Carney, of Nelson; grandchildren, Eddie Ellington, Jill Palmer, Betsy Decater, Ricky Knowles and Joni Howard; and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at noon from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Rev. Rachael Knoll will officiate. Interment will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens in Forest Park at 2 p.m. Friends may visit the family today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. He is survived by his wife, Grace Leonard; sons, Mr. and Mrs. Bill (Lisa) Leonard, of Gainesville, Mr. and Mrs. Gary (Sharon) Leonard, of Stockbridge; brother, Dewitt Leonard; sisters, Dorothy Grant and Eula V. Grant; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be today at 11 a.m. at Ward's Tara Chapel, Rev. Mike Newton and Rev. Mike Farmer officiating.
