Mr. Edward Thomas April 10, 1928 - March 8, 2005 Mr. Edward Thomas, 76, passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2005. Mr. Thomas was born in Petaluma, Calif. April 10, 1928, to the late Henry Thomas and the late Rose Katen Thomas. Mr. Thomas was retired from the United Sates Army, having served in Korea and Vietnam. After his military career he retired from Roadway Trucking Co. Survivors include children and their spouses, Henry and Barbara Thomas of Forest Park, Norman and Jean Thomas of Jonesboro, Mike Thomas of Fayetteville, Daniel and Julie Thomas of Fayetteville, Michele and Les Mask of Zebulon, and Theresa and Ronnie Robinson of Griffin; 12 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be conducted Thursday, March 10 at 1 p.m. in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Father Philip Ryan will officiate. Friends may visit the family from 7 to 9 p.m. today and on Thursday, March 10, from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
